| The
Trainer
Jo
has worked in racing for the past 18 years, starting off riding
out for a permit trainer in Hertfordshire. Jo then went to West
Oxfordshire College to study horse racing and breeding leading her
to a job as head girl to the trainer Patrick Chammings. From there
to Lord and Lady Lloyd-Webber's as yard manager on a pre-training
and breaking yard. Finally she moved to the area and started to
train for herself. In between all of this Jo also had a spell as
a work rider in the USA.
Jo
has done well with the few capable horses she has been sent to train,
she is very hands on and has had winners on the flat, over fences
and hurdles. She is very determined and has a huge will to succeed,
is very good with people and happy to include and communicate with
owners at all times. |

| Types
of ownership
Here at Parsonage,
we are happy to cater for the single owner or partnerships/syndicates.
If there is a group of people who wish to get together and either
buy or lease a horse we will work with you to ensure that the right
horse delivers the maximum return on your investment. Partnerships/syndicates
allow everyone who loves racing to experience the thrill of owning
a racehorse.
We understand
the importance of keeping our owners completely up to date and encourage
them to come and see their horses working and progressing, and always
involve them in the race planning process. |
| At
the moment we have some shares left in a four year old gelding called
Shrine Mountain. He has won four times on the flat and has been
bought with the hope that he may make a fun hurdler for the summer.
He is owned by some lovely people who have another horse here and
would like to sell or lease some shares of him, to enjoy some days
out with fun people.
We also have
a yearling for sale for the next flat season. He is out of a winning
mare and by the Saddlers Wells sire Throwra. He has the looks and
breeding to be a 2 year old and is unnamed. We feel that his half
brother will be sure to win this season so he really is a nice prospect. |
Alternatively,
if you have an idea of what you would like to buy we can always
find you the right horse, either at the sales or through our numerous
contacts. Please call anytime for a chat and we can find out what
sort of ownership you would like and what horse would be suitable.
Our fees are
£35 a day, plus racing expenses and gallop fees. Alternatively
we can offer an all inclusive package for a syndicate at £1800
per month covering all fees excluding large vets bills. All fees
are subject to VAT which is recoverable under the Racehorse Owners
Sponsorship Scheme. |
